So it’s officially 2017, and has been for a few weeks, and I’m JUST NOW getting to blog all of the gorgeousness that happened during 2016. I share favorites on my Instagram account, and occasionally on Facebook, but I always forget to make time to blog! So today will mark the first of many new posts…and here’s to keeping up with blogging in 2017!
Ok, here we go…
Brendon and Avonlea are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. I met them when I first moved home from Alaska. I was photographing a styled photo shoot and they happened to be the pretend bride and groom. They were just playing dress up at the time, so it was so exciting to photograph their REAL wedding portraits! They wanted a lush mountain look, so we headed up towards Yosemite to Sugar Pine and made it happen. My sister created the gorgeous bouquet, boutonniere, and flower crown and Avonlea’s fabulous makeup was done by the amazing Dara Calzada.
Brendon and Avonlea didn’t want to see each other once they were completely done up, so Dara and I drove them to the mountains separately so we could have an official first look. It was a blast and their reaction to each other was so sweet and emotional! There’s nothing better than capturing a groom seeing his bride for the first time. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of such a special day!
